43 Young People Benefit From Youth Entrepreneurship & Empowerment Programme In South Dayi District

On Monday, May 8 2023, 43 young persons in the South Dayi District at Peki Wudome are been trained for five days in various trade areas under the YouStart Program.

Speaking at the workshop in Peki Wudome at Besmond Hotel, the district BAC officer, Mr Prince Anku said the YouStart project is aimed at helping young people to become self employed, resilient and economically productive.

He said, “the YouStart will provide;

1. Training, in skill development, entrepreneurial support
2. Access to competitive credit and starter packs

iii. Mentoring and access to market”.

The facilitator for the program was Mr. Stephen Nartey . He urged the participants to always scan the environment to discover potential opportunities,develop new strategies by taking risk and to keep pace with rapid changes.

YouStart is a vehicle through which Govt of Ghana intends to provide funding, technical support to youth to start, build and grow their businesses.
