Hon. Godwin Dadzawa, DCE for South Dayi has commissioned a mechanized borehole for the people of Kpatsaxoe on  Friday 18th February 2022.

The Chief Servant of SDDA, Mr. Godwin Dadzawa said when he assumed office on  October 2022, the Assembly has awarded a contract for  a mechanized water project for the community which was even drilled. Ironically the community does not have electricity power nor solar power to help pump water from the bored hole.

As the Assembly makes frantic efforts to extend electricity to the facility as a permanent measure the Assembly is left with no other option but to retrofit the system on manual operational mechanism.

He expressed optimism that the boreholes would last long and would go a long way to a ease the water problems and contribute to achieving the Millennium Sustainable Development Goals (SDFs), particularly goal 6.

He urged the chiefs and people of the Kpatsaxoe community to develop a maintenance culture to ensure maximum use of the facility.

The Chiefs and people of the communities expressed gratitude to the DCE and the government for the support and said it was a relief, especially to women and children, who hitherto travelled far distances to access potable water.

The  mechanized borehole was constructed by the Tedson Drilling & Construction Company Limited.
