HON. MALLET INSPECTS ONGOING PROJECTS IN THE DISTRICT

 

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of South Dayi District Assembly, Hon. Ernest Mallet on Monday 26th April, 2021 inspected some ongoing projects in the District Capital, Kpeve.

The inspection tour was for the Hon. DCE to have an information on the progress of work on the projects.

The first visit was to the 1.2km road connecting Kpeve Health Directorate to Tsokpokope which is ongoing.

This project is expected to reduce distance of commuters between the two points, create additional road for accessing Tsokpokope and its environs, help open- up Kpeve Community and more importantly optimize the use of facilities within the two communities.

The Hon. DCE and his team were satisfied with the state of work and entreated the contractor to keep to the timelines to ensure early completion of the project.

The next point of visit is the Kpeve Model School Storm Drain which is completed. The DCE, Hon. Mallet and the team tasked the Engineer on site to de-silt the drains to avoid further flooding in the area.

The final point of visit is the Kpeve Market where the Hon. DCE inspected status of work on two market sheds. The Hon. DCE expressed his dissatisfaction with delays the market sheds have suffered and to bring relief to the traders.

Hon. Mallet tasked the District Works Engineer to agree on a revise work plan with the contractors to ensure completion of the projects in no time.

Hon. DCE promised to regularly visit the projects sites.
