in The District Chief Executive for South Dayi District Hon. Godwin Kwame Dadzawa the early hours of today 30th May 2023 embarked on monitoring of three Junior High Schools in the District.

The three schools are Peki Dzake E.P Primary J.H.S , GOVCo Demonstration School and Peki Avetile E.P JHS.

The visit forms part of the Education Act (act 506 of 1995), Pre Tertiary Education Act,2020, Act 1046 makes it possible for the existence of the District Education Oversight Committee (DEOC) to ensure provision and development of quality education delivery.

His first point of call was at Peki Dzake E.P. J.H.S where he interacted with the Chiefs, opinion leaders, head teacher, teachers and pupils.

Interacting with the Heads of the schools and teachers they mentioned few challenges confronting their service delivery such as lack of furnitures, lack of teaching materials, lack of computers, teachers accomodations etc.

THE DCE promised each school 25 mono desks, a set of jerseys , footballs, teachers bungalow for Peki Dzake E.P JHS and assured GOVCO Demonstration the 12 unit classroom uncompleted block would be followed up.

He also assured the heads and teachers that all their challenges and grievances would be sent to DEOC of which he is the Chairman for necessary actions to be taken.
