New executives of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association Ghana (CLOGSAG) in the South Dayi District of Volta Region have been elected into office.

The voting took place at the District Assembly Hall at Kpeve under the supervision of the Electoral Commission (EC).

The elected executives would manage the affairs of the association for the next four years.

At the end of the vote casting on Wednesday 1st June 2022, forty five (45) CLOSAG members participated in the exercise. All the three Aspirants who stood for various positions were unopposed, hence the voting was Yes and No. Mr Henry Yevu who has been acting as a Chairman for the past 18 months polled 30 votes with 1 rejected representing 67% to become the Chairman Elect;

Mrs Esther Todoadzi, who was elected as a Secretary, gathered 36 votes representing 80% votes, whilst Ben John Dogbe, who was also elected as Organiser polled 35 votes representing 78%.

The poll was organized in a free and fair manner.

The regional executives of CLOGSAG in the Volta Region led by their Regional Secretary were in attendance.

The District Coordinating Director (DCD) for South Dayi District Assembly, Mr Nathaniel Adzotor swore the newly-elected executives into office after the declaration of the election results by the EC.

He urged them to work diligently to uplift the image of CLOGSAG in the district, adding that was the only way to justify the confidence reposed in them by members of the association.

The newly sworn-in Chairman ; Mr. Henry Yevu, on behalf of the new executives, promised to work hard to foster unity among the members of the Association and address pertinent issues affecting the members of the association.
