MEETING WITH SAFEWATER NETWORK OFFICIALS FROM ACCRA

The South Dayi District Assembly (SDDA) held a meeting led by Hon. Courage Kokroko (DCE) with Safewater Network on Wednesday, 21st January 2026 in the District Assembly Hall, Kpeve Newtown to address the water crisis in Tongor, Toh, Kpalime, Duga, and Abui communities. Both parties agreed on a master plan with short-term and long-term strategies to provide potable water to these areas.

In Short-term plan: Safewater Network will provide interim water solutions (standpipes, polytanks, or water tankers) within a month.

Long-term plan: A lasting solution will be implemented within 3 months to solve the water problem in these areas.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from both SDDA and Safewater Network to work towards resolving a clean and safe drinking water issues in the affected communities
