The launch of the 7th Volta Trade & Investment Fair popularly

On Monday, 25th August 2025, the 7th Volta Trade & Investment Fair popularly known as the #VoltaFair at the Volta Star Textiles Limited in Juapong was launched.

The theme of this year’s Fair—“Volta Rising: Building Global Partnerships for a Thriving 24-Hour Economy”. This vision will create over 1.7 million jobs nationwide and position Ghana as a true round-the-clock economy.

For the Volta Region, the opportunities are transformational:

The revival of Juapong Textiles, working at full capacity under a 24-hour production model.

The development of a 24-Hour Industrial Park in Adaklu, on 1,500 acres of secured land, set to become a hub for manufacturing, logistics, and export, and several others.

The South Dayi District has the following economic potentials that are easily accessible;

 Agriculture and agro-processing

 Fish farming (inland and Aqua)

 Honey production and processing (Be keeping)

 Tourism

For now the aforementioned are harnessed on a lower scale. This is to say that much capital injection into them is urgently required. I therefore through this medium call for local and international participation for the benefit of my people and the investor community
