LEAP BENEFICIARIES RECEIVED PAYMENT GRANT IN SOUTH DAYI DISTRICT

The South Dayi District Department of Social Welfare carried out the 83^rd and 84^th payment cycle grant to Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) beneficiaries. The payments to the beneficiaries  took place on Tuesday 4^th July 2023 to Friday, 8^th July 2023  at the following communities; Toh Kpalime , Tongor Tsanakpe, Dzemeni, Adzokoe, Attokrokpo, Tsame, Peki Avetile, among other  payment points.

Officials from the Weto Rural Bank were present to attend to beneficiaries as the payments were made through the E-Zwich cards. The use of the e-zwich has made payment effective and better unlike the old form of payment which was manual.

The District Director of Social Welfare and Community Development officer at South Dayi District Mrs Emma Adom informed the beneficiaries that the Government of Ghana has increase the LEAP payment from an average of GHC 106.00  to GHC 212.00 representing 100% to the 83^rd and 84^th payment grant.

She urged the beneficiaries  to use the funds to cater for their dietary needs while care-givers should also provide basic and educational needs of the orphans and vulnerable children to enable them stay in school. The beneficiaries were evidently seen to be elated upon recieving their monies.
