SOUTH DAYI DISTRICT NHIS ENGAGES STAKEHOLDERS

The South Dayi District (SDD) National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Office on Tuesday, 27th June 2023 organized a stakeholders meeting for Assembly Members and Unit Committee members in the District Assembly Hall at Kpeve.

In attendance were the Presiding Member (PM) Hon. Kafui Dzormeku, The District NHIS Manager Mr. Mawuko Tsigbey, Assembly Members, Unit Committee members, Staff of NHIS and Staff of the District Assembly

In his welcome address, Hon. Kafui Dzormeku (PM) stated the purpose of the engagement was to enlighten the Assembly Members and Unit Committee Members on the NHIS its benefits, for them to be ambassadors to their electoral areas.

The District NHIS Manager, Mr. Mawuko Tsibey in his remark welcomed the Honourable Members present and said that the importance of NHIS in health delivery cannot be overemphasized irrespective of some challenges. He urged all the Honorable members to continue to support the scheme.

The first presentation was done by Mr. Eric Obobi on Mobile Renewal, Policy Validity, Linkage of Ghana card to NHIS card.

He outlined the steps for the linkage of the NHIS to the Ghana Card simply by dialing the short code *929# followed by selecting option four and then entering the Ghana Card number without Hyphens.

He additionally outlined the process of mobile renewal to all present by dialing the short code *929# followed by selecting option two and selecting option 1 followed by entering your NHIS membership number and so on till one finally confirms payment through mobile money.

He revealed that the mobile renewal comes with an advantage which included no transport cost, renewal can be done at any time of the day, risk of traveling or joining queue at the NHIS Office is avoided and Policy validity can be checked any time.
