SDDA Engages Stakeholders on Fee-fixing Resolution for 2024
The South Dayi District Assembly (SDDA) has organized its 2024 fee fixing resolution meeting to engage all stakeholders on the taxes and levies to be paid in the 2024 fiscal year.
The meeting was held in accordance with the Local Government Act of 2016, (Act 936) that mandates District Assemblies to collect taxes for development.
Mr. Emmanuel Asamoah Nkrumah, District Budget Analyst for SDDA, highlighted various rates that ought to be paid by the various organizations in the district for developmental projects. He urged stakeholders to support the Assembly by contributing their quota when it comes to paying taxes.
The District Revenue Superintendent Mr. Samuel Anikpi, seized the opportunity to educate stakeholders on permit application, proper acquision and registration of lands and the developmental agenda of the Assembly.
Some of the traders lamented bitterly about the deplorable state of the district market which they appeal to the Assembly to put them in good shape.
In attendance were Heads of Department, opinion leaders, traders Association, artisan, community based organizations etc.
