BUSINESS IN A BOX PROJECT OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED AT SOUTH DAYI DISTRICT

On Thursday 14th March 2024, the long awaiting business support programmed was officially launched at the South Dayi District Assembly, Kpeve.
 
The programme which is meant to create 250,000 jobs, supported by Ghana Enterprise Agency funded by Master Card foundation was officially launched.
 
Giving the keynote address on behalf of the District Chief Executive Hon. Godwin Kwame Dadzawa the Director of Internal Audit, Mr. Fiattor Vennunye said he cannot hide his joy for this initiative by GEA and Mastercard to give apprenticeship, skills, mentorship, sponsorship and training to the young people in the district.
 
He therefore urged all stakeholders especially the youth to show commitment to the coordination of the programme.
Mr. Prince Anku the head at Business Advisory Centre took participants through the overview and onboarding of the Biz Box Project.
 
He informed the participant that the programme is aimed at providing 250,000 jobs to young people in Ghana, 70% to women, 10% to people with disability whiles Volta Region had 15,303 quota for the first year and South Dayi District had 600 quota.
 
He further took the stakeholders through the various stages in each model and how to fill and submit the application successfully. He again entreated the Assemblymembers to be the ambassadors to the young people on the need to get enrol to the programme.
 
The programme was attended by staff from Business Advisory Centre , elected Assembly members, Association of Small Scale Industries (ASSI) and Staff from the District Assembly.
The training was organized successfully with all questions answered.
