Zoomlion undertakes cleaning exercise at Dzemeni

On Friday, April 5th, 2024 the Zoom Lion Service Limited in collaboration with the South Dayi District Assembly has taken up a cleaning service in Dzemeni Junction, Dzemeni market, the lorry station and refuse container sites .

The exercise was also carried out at unauthorized refuse dumps in the town and also along the drains.

The District Environmental Health Officer (DEHO) Mr. Jerry Amegah said the exercise was weigh over due since Zoom Lion Service took break on their service in the community.

The principal aim of the exercise is meant to rid the areas of the large concentration of mosquitoes, cockroaches and other harmful insects in a move to prevent cholera, dysentery, malaria and other diseases.
“It is also one of our strategies to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment”, he added.

Mr. Amegah said that the strong collaborative efforts between the assembly and Zoomlion over the years had led to a growing and positive public awareness and attitudinal change on sanitation in the district.

The exercise is expected to Peki on Wednesday and extended to other parts of the district.

He emphasize that his office will do everything possible to sustain the exercise.
