INSERVICE TRAINING ON THE SOCIAL WELFARE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM – SWIMS HELD AT SDDA

As part of the one-day Workshop on Case Management, Child Protection and Foster Care being held by the Social Welfare Department of the Ministry of Gender, Children & Social Protection in collaboration with UNICEF Ghana, participants were trained on the usage of SWIMS – Social Welfare Information Management System.
The purpose of the training was to impart skills that would enable active stakeholders to correctly use the system.
The training on SWIMS seeks among others to;
▪ Ensure better documentation and report of cases at all levels;
▪ Ensure timely delivery of Social Welfare services at all levels;
▪ Ensure accountability on the part of Case Workers.
▪ To foster intersectoral and interdepartmental collaboration;
▪ To ensure real-time analysis of aggregate trends.
The Social Welfare Information Management System details how to strengthen capacity, coordination and systems for delivery of integrated social welfare services.
SWIMS is adaptable on both desktop, tablets and mobile phones.
