DCE Commission two Projects in South Dayi District

District Chief Executive (DCE) for South Dayi District, Hon. Ernest Patrick Kojo Mallet on Friday 13^th August,2021 Commissioned a six (6) unit classroom block and a 3 unit Kindergarten block at New Kaira and Peki Dzake respectively in the District.

The facility was built with financial support from Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).

Speaking at a short durbar, Hon. Ernest Patrick Kojo Mallet, the DCE, commended GETFund  for supporting the District for putting up the 6-unit classroom and 3- unit class room blocks.  In his remarks noted that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo placed importance on education and that is why he introduced free Senior High to make education accessible to all.

DCE Mallet also urged the Teachers and the 2 communities to take good care of the facilities and avoid writing on them.

The DCE after the commissioning of the two projects revealed that there are about 30 other uncompleted projects in the District which would be attended to and the development of the district is on track and urged all to support government to deliver.

Ms. Valerie Datsa, District Director of Education, South Dayi cautioned  parents to take good care of their wards by bathing them,  providing neat uniform and good food for them before they come to school. She urged parents to priorities their children’s education and invest in them.

She finally thanked GETFund, Hon. Ernest Patrick Kojo Mallet, the consultant and contractors for the  good work done.

The District Information Officer, Mad. Nancy Ninadel Dogbey seized the moment to brief the people about the surge in  Covid-19 cases in the Region. She entreated  all to continue wearing the nose mask, wash their hands with soap under running water and observe social distance protocol. She said “this will help to reduce the cases in the region as a whole”.

Presenting the keys to the Headmaster of New Kaira D/A Basic School, the Head master express his in depth gratitude to GETfund, DCE and the contractor and also asked the DCE to assist them with chairs, tables and computers for their ICT lab.
