MR COURAGE KWAME KOKOROKO CONFIRMED BY SDDA AS DCE

Today Thursday 3rd April 2025 marks another milestone for South Dayi District as the Members of South Dayi District Assembly finally endorse Mr. Courage Kwame Kokroko as the new District Chief Executive (DCE).

 

Confirmation exercise, which was held at the Assembly hall amidst cheers and chanting of victory songs, saw the Presidents nominee out of the total number of 31 members, 26 voted Yes with 5 votes against representing 84 per cent.

 

His confirmation follows the first attempt when he didnt meet the two third of the valid votes cast.

Hon. Courage Kwame Kokroko, in his victory address, expressed appreciation to the assembly members and all who contributed to his successful confirmation process. He also promised to work with all stakeholders to address the development needs of the area in line with the aspirations of the people of South Dayi District and also in line with the Mahama government’s vision and reset agenda.

 

The Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu, who was present at the event, commended the Assembly for their unity and commitment to the development agenda. He urged the new DCE to work closely with all stakeholders to address key challenges and leverage available resources for the district’s advancement
