South Dayi District Assembly Holds District Education Oversight Committee Meeting

The District Education Oversight Committee (DEOC)  on Thursday, 29th June 2023 held a meeting at the District Chief Executive office  to discuss matters relating to education in the district.
The meeting was graced with the present of the District Chief Executive  Hon. Godwin Kwame Dadzawa as Chairman, District Director of Education Mr. Victor Kwaku Kovey as Secretary and all District Education Oversight Committee members.

Members discussed the following during the meeting;

•Topics from a prior meeting included; ✓teacher capacity building,
✓update on  PESTECH bus,
✓student delinquency,
✓Lab 6 winning best innovative and best GES representative in the 2022 Robotic Competition.

•Situational Education Report  by Director of Education

•Preparation of  Examination for JHS 3 and WASSCE students

•The Poor Performance of 2022 BECE and WASSCE examination were discussed and strategies to improve the 2023 academic year.

•Schools Infrastructure situation

•Report on  DCE’s visit to Some selected school in the district .

The meeting ended successfully.
