South Dayi District marks 68th Independence Day Anniversary
The 68th independence Day Celebration was observed today, Thursday March 6, 2025 marking nearly seven decades since the country gained freedom from British colonial rule.
This year’s theme, “Reflect, Review, Reset,”emphasises the importance of looking back on the nations journey, assessing its current state, and planning for a brighter future.
Unlike previous years, the celebration was more “modest” to cut costs.
The event took place at the forecourt of the South Dayi District Assembly, Kpeve instead of the traditional grand ceremony..
The scale-down event featured The DCD, security personnel, traditional authorities, politicians, cultural troup and poetry recital groups from Kpeve Model School and Kpeve E.P. Primary School.
Overall, the celebration of independence Day was modest showcased a blend of reflection, reviewing and resetting Ghana’s Agenda, making it a memorable and significant event for all participant
