Two Day Training on Ground Truthing Exercise Carried on at South Dayi District

To improve revenue generation and management at the local level ,The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development with South Dayi District Assembly in partnership with GIZ has organized a two day workshop for Staffs and a cross section of NABCO Trainees on Ground Truthing in the District Assembly Hall, Kpeve.

The Ministry in collaboration with GIZ will roll out the District Level Revenue (dLRev) Software after the collecting of data in June this year to enhanced collecting of Property Rate in the district.

The training recorded Three Physical Planning officers Mr. Ernest Bekae (HOD), Mr. Francis Homerku, Mr. Godson Annum, I.T officer Mr Winfred Fianyo, Statistics Mr Mawukoenya David Gavor, Attarah Michael and six NABCO Trainees .

The participants were taken through plotting a parcel of land, importance of ground truthing exercise etc.

The facilitator Mr. Benjamin Abroakwah from LUSPA urged the participants to be circumspect of the plotting the parcel of land to provide accurate data for DLREV software by GIZ.

The second round of workshops provided in-depth, hands-on training to participants in identifying physical building on the ground at Kpeve Newtown using the Google earth map.

The facilitator urged the participants to give full meaning to the training received by applying the knowledge acquired in the discharge of their functions to ensure the progress of the Assembly.

The program was participatory and successful
