86 apprentices get business start up kits

Today 7th November 2025, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for South Dayi District Hon. Courage Kokroko distributed startup kits to a group of trainees and business owners as part of the government’s initiative to create jobs and promote economic development, in line with the vision of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
The startup kits, comprising various materials and equipment such as ;
• dress making (sewing machine, scissors,sewing kit),
• hairdresser (dryer,trolley,rollers comb pet),
• Carpentry (drilling , toolbox, circular saw)
• Welders ( welding machine, welding gloves, face shield)
• Cassava processing (Fryer,Local stove, head cover, apron)
were provided to support the trainees and business owners in their entrepreneurial pursuits.
The Hon. Kokroko emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth and job creation, urging the recipients to utilize the kits to start or expand their businesses.
The trainees and business owners expressed gratitude to the government and Hon. Courage Kokroko for the support, promising to make good use of the kits and their skills to create jobs and improve their livelihoods.
A special thanks to Mr. Noble Amanfu the head of Business Resource Centre (BRC) in South Dayi District for organizing such a successful program and MasterCard Foundation Business in the Box Project for their partnership and commitment to empowering Ghana’s youth.
