As part of measures to improve the water system in the Volta Region, particularly South Dayi District, the area has been connected to pipe borne water to enable residents to have access to clean water

Some of the communities that have benefited from this district-wide project included Karia, Ahor amongst others.

The project was aimed at providing drinkable water to communities in the district in order to reduce the burden on people who trek long distances in search for water.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive of South Dayi, Kafui Semenu Bekui noted that water is a very important commodity to every human, hence the need to make it accessible in every community.
