The South Dayi District Assembly has extended electricity and water to some important facilities in the district to boost service delivery

Mr. Kafui Bekui, District Chief Executive for South Dayi said the clinic at Kpeve, nurses’ quarters at Peki-Dzake, Wegbe Kpalime basic schools and the staff bungalow at Tsyokpokope have all been connected with electricity. The Kpeve police station and Kpeve clinic also have water extended to them.

The DCE said three boreholes at Kaira Ahor have been repaired through the Member of Parliament’s Common Fund to ensure beneficiary communities do not resort to using unclean water for domestic activities.

Some other projects initiated by the assembly through the District Assembly common fund included the construction of semi-detached staff quarters at Kpeve, senior staff bungalow (DFO) at kpeve, teachers’ quarters at Sanga and Gbi market at Peki.

The rest are 3-unit classroom block at Kpalime-Duga, an office and store for Kaira Basic School as well as the renovation and rehabilitation of District Director of Education’s residence. Most of these projects are still ongoing according to the DCE.

The DCE also acknowledged the contribution of the European Union (EU) towards the completion of the nurses’ quarters at Peki-Dzake and a primary school block at Wegbe Kpalime.
