The initial number of 1084 people shot up by 2261 pupils while the initial number of four schools also witnessed an addition of 10 more schools.
This was due to the retargeting exercise carried out nationwide to help better the performance of the scheme.

Interestingly none of the existing beneficiaries’ schools were affected. Some of the beneficiary schools include Kpeve E.P Primary, Tsanakpe, Tengor, Avetile RC, Tsane, Kpeyidorme, Todome and Toh-Kpalime.

District Chief Executive Kafui Semenu Bekui, who disclosed this exclusively to Ghanadistricts.com, said the assembly will take up infrastructural provision example Kitchen, dining hall among others for the new beneficiary schools, adding that the assembly was already procuring bowls, spoons and other materials for the people.

While existing beneficiaries have already begun enjoying meals, new caterers are being screened for engagement to enable the new schools also start enjoying the meal.
He expressed hope that the additional schools will enhance enrolment in the various schools as it did in the earlier schools.
